Held during the 40th anniversary of UAE-China diplomatic relations, alongside the state visit of UAE President, the forum brought senior government and business leaders from both countries together around trade and investment.
The forum's date was set by a head-of-state visit, not by the delivery schedule - there was no room to slip. Senior leaders from both governments were confirmed to speak, and the guest list spanned infrastructure, energy, automotive, telecommunications, e-commerce and logistics, tourism, and agriculture - sectors with little in common beyond the room they'd be sharing. The programme needed to move a room of 600+ representatives and business entities from open networking, through formal government remarks, into structured one-to-one matchmaking, without the transitions themselves becoming the story.
